Council position papers for SMC II
June 10, 2013

Last week we shared with you the Council’s position on mobility in advance of the staff-management negotiations taking place in Mexico City next week. This paper described the approach we would take regardless of any current or future mobility proposals from management that could come up in the negotiations, as we believe this issue is in constant evolution.

This year there are a record number of agenda items and each of the 15 staff unions will be focal points for a number of these issues. The issues on which we are playing a focal role are covered by our full set of position papers (including the earlier mentioned mobility paper), which we would like to share with you here. These build on your comments and feedback we received, as well as the hard work put in by a number of colleagues in the Council, whose work tends to go unseen. These inputs will form the basis of our discussions with other unions as part of building a collective approach to the negotiations.

We look forward to keeping you updated on the evolution of these important negotiations.
