How the SCC is tackling your concerns regarding the H building | Comment le Conseil de coordination adresse les préoccupations relatives au bâtiment H
July 16, 2021

We would like to thank those of you who shared with us their concerns regarding the working conditions in the H building. The Staff Coordinating Council considers these concerns very legitimate and regrets that the current working conditions do not meet the standards you expect in order to perform your daily work.

These concerns fall under the following categories: temperature/humidity/light/noise, privacy and concentration, office layout difficulties, safety and security, furniture/office equipment, IT/tech-related, logistical issues & cleaning, infrastructure.

While some concerns relate to the open space setting that the Staff Coordinating Council has opposed since the inception of the project in 2015 and thus cannot be reversed, there are others that should be resolved through appropriate measures.

In order to deal with your concerns, we have held an urgent meeting with the SHP and the transition team and requested them to provide us with concrete solutions. We have also seized the Joint Committee on Health and Safety at the Workplace.

Once we receive their respective feedback, we will share it with you. Meanwhile, do not hesitate to continue sharing your concerns through this online form.
