Dear Colleagues,

As you may be aware, the Director-General kindly organized a townhall last week to present the latest developments in the renovations of the Palais des Nations. 

An important but unwelcome feature is a proposal to introduce open office space to staff moved to the new building.

We expressed our strong concerns, which built on the staff survey, external research, developments at the General Assembly and experience in New York and elsewhere. Many of you have asked us for a copy of the statement and we are pleased to share it here.

We will keep you updated on our work in this regard.
