Do you want to relax and get into shape this winter? Then the Well-being & Health Club (Club Santé Bien-être) is for you. In addition to our usual activities – Pilates, stretching, sophrology and meditation – we offer relaxing massages. 

The courses are taught by talented professionals. The Pilates and postural stretching exercises are led by a physiotherapist, and all the activities are open to everyone, no matter what your level of fitness.

What does the Well-being & Health Club offer? 

Seated massage that relaxes the most stressed parts of the body – especially for those of us that spend a lot of time in front of a computer – such as the neck, back, arms and hands. The sessions last for 20 minutes (40 CHF) or 30 minutes (60 CHF) and are given by an ASCA-licensed therapist. 

Monday: between 2 – 2.50 p.m., Room E-2060-1 

Thursday: between 1.15 – 3 p.m., Room E-2060-1 

(Other time slots are possible by arrangement with the therapist) 

Pilates: this method eliminates tensions, strengthens the muscles and improves posture. It is suitable for those who have not done much physical activity for years, sports people or those who want to develop their silhouette harmoniously. 

Monday: 12 – 1 p.m., Room A-813 

Tuesday: 1.15 – 2 p.m., Room E-2060-1 and 5.45 – 6.45 p.m., Room A-813 

Wednesday: Group 1:  12 – 12:45 p.m., Room A-813 and Group 2:  1.15 – 2 p.m.; Room E-2060-1 (if enough registrations) 

Friday: 12 – 12.45 p.m., Room E-2060-1

Postural Stretching: this course focuses on stretching exercises in order to gain muscular and articular flexibility and reduce tension due to stress. It also helps to correct postures often compromised by sedentary habits or long hours spent in front of a computer. 

Tuesday: 12.15 – 1 p.m.; Room E-2060-1

Sophrology: a gentle and very effective technique, sophrology makes it possible to better manage tensions and emotions, improve sleep, concentration and memory, develop a positive attitude, increase self-confidence, reconcile body and mind, and gain vitality and serenity. It is based on breathing exercises, muscle relaxation and positive visualization. It is booming in the areas of health, sport, education and business. 

Monday: Group 1:  12.15 – 1 p.m.; Room E-2060-1 and Group 2:  1.05 – 1.50 p.m.; Room E-2060-1 

Meditation: an ancient practice, meditation helps to reduce the tensions and anxiety of everyday life, transforms the way we perceive things, calms our minds and improves our quality of life. It also teaches us to live in the present moment and to be more benevolent towards ourselves. 

Thursday: 12.15 p.m. – 1 p.m.; Room C-018

A-813: Palais Gymnasium – 8th floor, Lift No. 13. 

E-2060-1: Above the Pasta Corner. 

C-018: Meditation Room, access by Lift No. 7, to level C-1.

How do you become a member of le Club Santé Bien-être? 

Register by sending an e-mail to: clubsante.onu.ch@gmail.com (or contact Ms. Florence Durand at extension 71646). 

Pay the annual fee. The fee from January to December is 30 CHF (To give to your tutor in one enveloppe with your name, phone number, office number and email address). The first class is free for you to try. Class fees must be paid directly to the tutors. The price of each class is 20 CHF. You can buy a card of 5 classes (100 CHF, valid for 2 months) or 10 courses (200 CHF, valid for 4 months).
