As you may be aware, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) which was established by treaty between the United Nations and the Lebanese Government pursuant to relevant Security Council resolutions, is likely to close down at the end of July due to lack of funding. This will lead to the termination of over 280 staff members.

The STL Staff Union is a member of CCISUA, the federation of staff unions to which UNOG Staff Coordinating Council belongs. They have asked for our support to circulate this petition.

We would like to kindly invite you to sign the petition as a sign of solidarity with our STL colleagues who are going through very difficult circumstances.

Le Tribunal spécial pour le Liban (TSL), qui a été mis en place par un traité conclu entre les Nations Unies et le gouvernement libanais en application des résolutions pertinentes du Conseil de sécurité, devrait fermer ses portes à la fin du mois de juillet en raison d’un manque de financement. Cela entraînera le licenciement de plus de 280 membres du personnel.

Le syndicat du personnel du TSL est membre de la CCISUA, la fédération des syndicats du personnel à laquelle appartient le Conseil de coordination du personnel de l’ONUG. Ledit syndicat a demandé notre soutien pour faire circuler cette pétition.
