We would like to share with you a letter to the Secretary-General calling for an end to impunity in the killing of UN staff in Gaza, many of whom are in clearly identified UN premises and vehicles.

The letter was sent by the CCISUA staff union federation, of which we are a member.

It deplores the fact that the killings and attacks “have been perpetrated by a Member State, acting with the support of other Member States” and calls on the Secretary-General to take several actions, including documenting and reporting potential war crimes and meeting with Palestinian staff.

Once again we would like to express our solidarity with our colleagues in Gaza for the vital work they are doing in the face of great danger.

Nous aimerions partager avec vous une lettre adressée au Secrétaire général appelant à mettre fin à l’impunité en ce qui concerne les morts des fonctionnaires de l’ONU à Gaza, dont beaucoup se trouvent dans des locaux et des véhicules de l’ONU clairement identifiés.

La lettre a été envoyée par la fédération du personnel CCISUA, dont nous sommes membres.

Elle déplore le fait que les meurtres et les attaques ont été perpétrés par un État membre, agissant avec le soutien d’autres États membres et demande au Secrétaire général de prendre plusieurs mesures, notamment de documenter et de signaler les crimes de guerre potentiels et de rencontrer les membres du personnel palestiniens.

Une fois de plus, nous souhaitons exprimer notre solidarité avec nos collègues de Gaza pour le travail vital qu’ils accomplissent face à un grand danger.
